Addressing the function Iqbal Qureshi paid homage to the services of Sabir Qaim Khani and Abdul Rehman Rajput. He said that due to their efforts the college has got the status of a university. The establishment of a university in Hyderabad required time. Dr. Tayyaba Zarif expressed her determination to make the university the largest university in Pakistan in the next ten years. Sabir Qaim Khani said that he had presented the resolution of the university in the Sindh Assembly. Abdul Rehman Rajput said that ten years of struggle came to fruition when Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced to make the college a university on the occasion of centenary celebrations. On this occasion Iqbal Qureshi Presented commemorative shields to Sabir Hussain Qaim Khani and Abdul Rehman Rojput while presents were presented to the participants of the ceremony. Dr. Nafees Qureshi delivered the welcome address.
