Tribute paid to Pakistani talent and media industry at the 2nd Pakistan Excellence Awards sponsored by Abdullah Group


KARACHI: To mark the 71st Independence Day of Pakistan, Abdullah Group in association of organizing committee partners of Pakistan Excellence Awards organized a glittering awards ceremony at Marriott Hotel to pay tribute to the movers and shakers of Pakistan.
The ceremony was well attended by celebrities, government officials, media representatives, elite of the society and socialites. Celebrities like Osman Khalid Butt, Raafay lsrar, Nida Yasir, Omer Shahzad, Rizwan Ali Jaffri, Syed Jibran, Kubra Khan, Anam Tanveer, Nina Kashif, Shazia Khushk, Zubia MotiwaiJa, Ali Rizvi, Ahson Talish, Nausheen Shah, Nadia Hussain are few to mention who grace the occasion to receive their awards.
Guests were accorded red carpet welcome. Proceedings of the event started with recitation of Holy Quran by Qari Mumtaz followed by Na’at by Asad Ayub. Whereas National Anthem was sang by Jamshed Sabri Brothers.
On a special item song for awards ceremony by Irfan Sumoo; Farzana Mirza and her group performed to entertain the audience. Sarah Baloch, Agha Sheerazi, Saddam Tufail, Shazia Khan, Nazia Malik, and Alveena Agha were the hosts of the show.
Addressing the audience, Chief Patron of Pakistan Excellence Award & Chairman Abdullah Group, Lt. (R) Engr. M. Iqbal Qureshi said, “Pakistan Excellence Awards pays tribute to personalities that have served the country well with their talent and dedication. He added that this is the 2nd consecutive award ceremony and we hope to establish its credibility and consistency in years to come by not making them overly ambitious, but executing them honourably. Iqbal Qureshi maintained that we should all come together to encourage such programs so that more and more people are motivated to excel in their work. He also added that “Pakistan is the blessing of Allah, and it is our responsibility to develop, build, and protect it.
