HYDERABAD: Academy for the Promotion of Art, Literature and Literacy (APAL) arranged 3-Day 3rd Hyderabad Literature Festival in collaboration with Abdullah Builders & Developers, Culture, Tourism and Antiquates Department and Information and Archives Department, Sindh.
Different sessions on literature, musical and poetry were held during the festival which were attended by large numbers of renowned scholars, youth activists, prominent personalities and rising youngsters.
A session on Rotary Pakistan Literacy Mission (RPLM) was one of the attractions of the festival. PDG M. Iqbal Qureshi District Chair RPLM and CEO of Abdullah Builders, IPDG Muhammad Saleem Rao, PP Dr Farhan Essa, CEO Essa Laboratories were among the panelists and so spoke on education and literacy projects undertaken by RPLM during the last couple of years. PP Imran Khan was the moderator of session. While speaking on the occasion Syed Tayyab Hussain, Mayor of Hyderabad appreciated the organizers on organizing such a great festival. He particularly lauded the efforts of Abdullah Builders for sponsoring the event. He hoped that such literary festivals must be organized in all major cities of Sindh. He urged private sector to come forward and support the government in enhancing the literacy rate in the country.
Minister Culture, Tourism and Antiquates Department Sindh, Sardar Ali Shah and Commissioner Hyderabad, Salik also attended the festival.
